We will be hosting a private party from 5:00 pm on Wednesday 27 August. 

You can still get TAKE WAY up until 5:00 ... and after 7:00.  We close at 8:00.

Denver has recovered and is cooking.

Today Cream of Mushroom soup and Squash Blossom soup ... plus our usual range.

Sick day today Wednesday July 30th

We apologize.

Denver, the chef, is having a sick day.  Or perhaps two.

Please forgive him as he hasn't had a day off ... (except for the pilgrimage) ... in well over a year.

Thank you for your patience.

We expect to be back shortly and will post here as soon as we know something.

Soups On !!!

After having discontinued soup for the summer … we discovered … lots of people like soup year round. 

And so everyone's favorite … Zuppa Tuscana is available all this week. 

And again, by request, Wednesday … starting towards evening … it will be Soup Night.  And we will have at least one soup available ... and perhaps more. 

Garlic bread for dunking is included.  

Denver is way good at soup making.  One day we had extra eggplant and he was in a creative mood.  So he grilled it.  Then some customers came in.  When we returned to the grill, the flames were dancing towards the sky.  He said ... and I quote ... This is not what I planned!!!

The resultant soup was, though.  It was a wonderful broth-y vegetable concoction with roasted nuances.  

So some of the soups will be classic, some peasant, some Denver’s own. 

Drop in and join us Wednesday nights ... for a light, summer soup.  Or whatever else gourmet  Italiano your heart desires.

To all of the community that has helped us … we are so very grateful for your support … and all that you have so kindly done for us. 

Please note that this week our prices had to go up a small amount … about 5 pesos.  This reflects a general adjustment of supply prices all around SMA at the beginning of the year. 

Busy time … Thursday 12:30 to 2:00

Olivo Verde will be hosting a party of 12 from 1:00 until about 2:00 on Thursday the 20th. 

Therefore, you will get the best service if you schedule your time around that. 

Either right about noon … (cause we will be busy prepping prior to their arrival) … or after about 2:00

Thank you!!!  February 1 was our best day ever.  By far!!

And Denver did this after going sleepless the night before … (those Mexicans sure know how to party!) … walking 20 miles … visiting the church / virgin in San Juan de los Lagos … taking the bus back … then cooking straight til 8:30 p.m.

We now have a drinks menu … which will be posted to your right soon. 

Warmer weather has returned and afternoon and evening alfresco dining is delightful.  In turn, we expect to shortly have tables and umbrellas out front.  People are already sipping wine there, so we will also be adding an appetizer or snack menu.  

Coffees and tea are also now available. 

We are looking for an assistant chef and we want it all.  Someone who wants to work … (that probably means a bit more mature) …   who innately understands customer service … and is capable of growing with the business.  Ideally that means someone you have seen in action …  but it isn't working out well where they are … and they deserve to be appreciated.
